Ozempic® (semaglutide) is a once-weekly injectable treatment originally developed for type 2 diabetes, but it also supports weight loss by reducing appetite and slowing digestion, helping you to eat less and feel fuller for longer.
Using Your Ozempic Pen:
- Inject once a week, on the same day each week, at any time of day.
- Ozempic can be taken with or without food.
- Inject subcutaneously into the stomach area, upper thigh, or upper arm.
- Rotate injection sites weekly to avoid skin irritation.
- Never inject into muscles or veins.
If you miss a dose and it is within 5 days of your scheduled injection, take it as soon as possible. If more than 5 days have passed, skip the missed dose and continue with your next scheduled dose.

Gradually increasing the dose of Ozempic® helps your body adjust and reduces the likelihood of side effects:

- Once in use, pens can be kept at room temperature (up to 30°C) for up to 6 weeks.
- Do not freeze the pens. If frozen, the medication must be discarded.
